Question:  Osteoporosis has become more prevalent, even with an increase in calcium intake.  What steps can we take to help prevent bone loss?

Answer:  Five things are required to prevent bone loss.

1. Adequate vitamin D3 via supplements or sunlight.

2. Adequate levels of progesterone and testosterone (in women) and testosterone (in men)

3. Adequate minerals intake:

  • Boron: most raw plant foods (fruits, vegetables, nuts), supplements 
  • Strontium: supplements
